Estate & Planned Giving
The Heritage Society
The Heritage Society recognizes those friends and supporters who provide for UW Medicine in their wills, retirement plans, or other kinds of deferred gift commitments. Such foresight and generosity provide future support to advance the mission of UW Medicine.
Heritage Society Giving Options
- Including gifts under a will or revocable trust
- Establishing a charitable trust or gift annuity
- Donating your home while retaining the right to live there
- Contributing to the University's pooled income fund
- Designating the UW School of Medicine, UW Medical Center, or Harborview Medical Center as a beneficiary of a life insurance policy or retirement plan
- Creating a charitable lead trust that benefits UW Medicine today
Heritage Society Benefits
The Heritage Society is a way for UW Medicine to thank and recognize donors during their lifetime for providing a future gift. Heritage Society benefits include:
- Special recognition in the UW Medicine Report to Donors
- Invitations to one or more events at UW Medicine every year,
including the annual Heritage Society event
- Inclusion in the University of Washington's Henry Suzzallo Society (for revocable gifts)
If You Prefer to Make an Anonymous Gift
While we welcome the opportunity to celebrate the generous foresight of Heritage Society members, we understand that some donors prefer to keep their future gifts confidential. Requests for anonymity will be honored.
