What is the UW Medical Center Staff Campaign?

It is a hospital-wide effort to encourage all employees to make a donation to support UW Medical Center, or other areas and programs at UW Medicine.

When is the Staff Campaign?

The 2009 Staff Campaign runs Monday, May 18 through Monday, June 1, but gifts are welcome throughout the year.

Is this the same as the Combined Fund Drive?

No. The Staff Campaign is for UWMC staff and faculty only, and gifts are directed to UW Medicine only. The Combined Fund Drive is for all Washington state employees, and gifts made to the Combined Fund Drive can be directed to other charities.

How much should I give?

Gifts of any size are welcomed and appreciated.

Is my gift tax-deductible?

Yes, 100 percent of your gift is tax deductible as allowed by law.

Where does the money go?

One hundred percent of your Staff Campaign gift directly supports projects and programs that enhance patient care, research, and teaching. You may direct your gift to any UWMC program or fund listed here. If you don’t see a fund that interests you, you may write in the area you wish to support.

How can I donate?

Download and complete the gift form located on this site and send your form and contribution by campus mail to UW Medicine Advancement, Campus Mail Box 358045. You may use any of the following payment options:

• Automatic payroll deduction: Payroll deduction is the most popular and convenient way to give. You can donate as little as $2 per paycheck — only 13 cents per day! Your pledge is split among 24 pay periods, starting July 10, 2008 and ending June 25, 2009. (Click here for a payroll deduction planning chart.)
• Credit card, check, money order, cash: Visa, MasterCard, and American Express are accepted.
• Make a gift online.
