I was born and raised in northern New Jersey. Education later brought me to Virginia and North Carolina. In 2004 I found my home in Alaska. I moved there to accept a position as an optician arranging itinerant optometric clinics in rural Alaska. My time in rural Alaska exposed me to the important work PAs were doing across the state.
My path toward becoming a part of the MEDEX faculty began during my didactic year at MEDEX when some of the site faculty suggested that I think about coming back as lecturer after graduating. Their suggestion resonated with me during my clinical year as I found I looked forward to the frequent task of providing education presentations on diseases and conditions to my supervising physicians and PAs . After graduation my desire to focus on education in addition to clinical work culminated in my joining the Anchorage didactic team.
