I was raised just north of Spokane and attended Mead High School. After high school I attended the University of Montana and later Eastern Washington University, completing my degree in Sports Medicine & Athletic Training. I worked in the Seattle and Spokane areas as an athletic trainer prior to attending MEDEX for my physician assistant education. After graduating from MEDEX, I started my career in family practice and geriatrics in Spokane and then moved to urgent care. While working, I completed my Master of Science degree through Touro College. I continue to work part time in urgent care while working at MEDEX.
I enjoy being able to teach and apply clinical experience to the classroom. The physician assistant profession is so diverse and the students bring a great deal of knowledge and insight to the table. I have had the pleasure of taking PA students during clinical rotations since 2011 as well as proctoring and lecturing for the program. I joined MEDEX as faculty in 2016 and look forward to continuing my lifetime of learning while teaching our students.
