The 2018/2019 application cycle is now closed! Updates and information for the 2019/2020 application cycle will be posted on the MEDEX website. Check for information session dates in early 2019!
Please note: the degree options have changed in Tacoma and Anchorage. Beginning in the 2018/19 application cycle, MEDEX is no longer accepting applications to the BCHS program. All applicants are encouraged to review these changes on the MEDEX website before submitting their applications.
The Central Application Service for Physician Assistants (CASPA), which allows applicants to submit applications to PA programs, will be available in May 2018. All MEDEX applicants must submit a completed CASPA application on or before the final application deadline of September 1st to be considered in the current admissions cycle (Application Timeline).
CASPA will begin the application verification process once the application has been submitted and after receiving official transcripts and reference letters, this process can take up to five (5) weeks. MEDEX uses the date that the applicant submitted the final application when verifying whether the application deadline has been met. Once CASPA has completed their verification process, they will release the official, verified application to MEDEX electronically.
NOTE: CASPA does not send application status updates to applicants directly. You must log into your CASPA application to see your status. Remember, applicants are responsible for tracking their own applications. If your application is not verified four weeks after your application submission, contact CASPA customer service as they may still need information from you to process your application.
Remember to apply early! Applications that are not verified 6-8 weeks after the application deadline may not be reviewed in time to be considered for an interview.
To review details about the CASPA application and to check the status of your CASPA application, visit the CASPA Website.
Please review the CASPA Instructions and FAQ page thoroughly before beginning your CASPA application.
CASPA is a complex process designed to collect applicant information in one place allowing you, as the applicant, to apply to several schools using one application. When you are ready to begin your CASPA application please also read all application instructions provided by the CASPA application services.
If you have questions about the CASPA application, please contact CASPA directly at firstname.lastname@example.org.
