Madigan Puyallup Community Medical Home

Juanita Elliot served her four-month preceptorship at the Madigan-Puyallup Community Medical Home, an off-base clinic providing care to military family members living in and around the South Sound. “I was very fortunate to work here in this clinic as a LPN prior to going to MEDEX”, she says. Addie Bush, PA-C, her preceptor at Madigan-Puyallup, and several of the nurses there have watched Juanita grow up. “They wanted to see me succeed, and they definitely helped me along the way.” The Madigan medical clinic, funded by the Department of Defense, sees upwards of 100 patients per day. Juanita’s military career is actually quite lengthy. As a PA, Juanita’s job in the National Guard will be to provide medical care to soldiers.
