"The Girl in White" - October 23rd at 6:30pm
Don't miss this opportunity to see the 1952 movie "The Girl in White" starring June Allyson. The subject of the film is Dr. Emily Dunning Barringer, the first woman selected to be an intern in a New York City hospital in 1902. Dr. Barringer overcame prejudice and many other challenges in her quest to become a physician.
The movie is the first in the film series associated with the "Changing the Face of Medicine" exhibit on display in Suzzallo 102. The exhibit planning committee made special arrangements to bring this rare film to campus. Admission is free.
Hors d'oeuvres and other refreshments will be served at 6:30pm. The film will run from 7:00pm - 8:30pm in Kane Hall 110. Hope you can join us!
