Endowed chair for spine research established
NORWALK, CONN. -- To support research on the prevention and management of injuries and diseases that affect the spine, Surgical Dynamics has established the Surgical Dynamics Endowed Chair for Spinal Research at the UW School of Medicine. (more)
AAMC ranks UW second nationally in research funding
WASHINGTON, D.C. -- In its
recently issued 1998 Institutional Goals
Ranking Report, the Association
of American Medical Colleges (AAMC) lists
the UW medical school second in
the nation in federal research funding for
fiscal year 1996-97. The UW was
sixth the year before. In both years,
Harvard Medical School topped the
list.
