Wahl named dean of School of Public Health and Community Medicine

Patricia W. Wahl, a leading biostatistician and public-health educator, has been named dean of the University of Washington School of Public Health and Community Medicine. The appointment is subject to confirmation by the UW Board of Regents at its next regular meeting Feb. 19. (more)


Patients treated with new technique to repair aortic aneurysm

During the latter part of January, three patients underwent an innovative, minimally invasive procedure to repair aortic aneurysm. (more)


Russell featured in March of Dimes Research Annual Report

David W. Russell, assistant professor of medicine in the Division of Hematology, was featured in the recent March of Dimes Research Annual Report. The report highlighted his work on gene therapy delivery systems. (more)


Bjornson first author of study in Science

UW biochemistry graduate student Christopher R.R. Bjornson is first author of a study published recently in Science suggesting that adult stem cells can be altered to become the progenitor cells for other types of tissue. (more)
