Students from more than 29 medical schools will gather in Seattle April 9 to 11 for an international meeting of the student chapter of Physicians for Social Responsibility. Members of the Washington state student chapter planned the conference.

Nikkei physicians honored

Three UW clinical faculty members are among the Nikkei physicians honored by the Japanese American Citizens League for overcoming harsh obstacles in achieving their dreams of becoming physicians and practicing medicine.

David Patterson, professor of rehabilitation medicine and a staff psychologist at the Burn Center, and Hunter Hoffman, a research scientist at the UW Human Interface Technology Laboratory (HIT Lab), are collaborating on the study.
