An interest in enhancing their doctor/patient communication skills in actual patient-care settings led Angel Platas and Kim O'Connor, both fourth-year medical students, to help create an elective clerkship on this topic.

Wong named director of Women's Health Care Center

Emily Y. Wong, assistant professor of medicine, has been named director of the Women's Health Care Center at UW Medical Center, effective May 1. Wong, an attending physician at the center since 1995, also directs the Center of Excellence in Women's Health.
