Glenny receives Guggenheim Fellowship
Robb Glenny, associate professor of medicine and of physiology and
biophysics, has won the only Guggenheim Fellowship Award given in medicine
in the United States this year.
The American College of Physicians-American Society of Internal Medicine
has presented Marvin Turck with the 1999 Distinguished Teacher Award.
The medical school has established a Pediatric Epilepsy Research Center
with initial support from an anonymous donor.

The award recognizes the medical school's outstanding efforts in encouraging students to enter family practice. As of October 1998, the UW had a three-year average of 28.8 percent of graduating medical students choosing an accredited family practice residency. The award will be presented in Seattle today, April 30, at the 32nd Annual Conference of the Society of Teachers of Family Medicine. |
