Medical School Executive Committee (MSEC) meeting.
CHAP awarded
T
he Community Health Advancement Program (CHAP) was named the
national Daily Point of Light Award Winner for Monday, Oct.4.
MEDEX alumni gather in Seattle
T
wo hundred and fifty physician assistants, invited guests and
current students representing every MEDEX Northwest class were
in Seattle Oct.2 to celebrate the program's 30th
anniversary.

Scott D.
Ramsey, assistant professor of medicine and health
services, has received a $325,000 grant to compare two local
managed care organizations and Medicare on the direct costs of
caring for colon cancer patients.
Ramsey will collaborate with Group Health Cooperative colleagues on the
project. The second managed care organization participating in the study
is Regence Blue Shield.
