Briefly
Ramsey to compare costs for colon cancer
Scott D.
Ramsey, assistant professor of medicine and health
services, has received a $325,000 grant to compare two local
managed care organizations and Medicare on the direct costs of
caring for colon cancer patients.
Ramsey will collaborate with Group Health Cooperative colleagues on the
project. The second managed care organization participating in the study
is Regence Blue Shield.
