Charles H. Chesnut III, professor of radiology and medicine, will host an online chat on osteoporosis today, Dec. 10, at 10:30 a.m. PST (18:30 UTC) on CNN's Web site.

Linda Dano, soap opera actress and spokesperson for the "Lights on Osteoporosis" campaign, will open the forum at the beginning of the hour.

Chesnut is conducting a five-year study of women with osteoporosis in the WWAMI region. He is studying a new pharmaceutical treatment for the disease in 900 women.
