UW alumni receive Distinguished Service Awards

Two UW medical school alumni and a MEDEX alumna received distinguished service awards Jan.20 at the 7th Annual Multicultural Alumni-Student Dinner, sponsored by the UW Medical Alumni Association. They are Raul Ixtlahuac, a 1987 medical school graduate; Tenagne Mekbeb, a 1990 medical school graduate; and Jeanette S. DeCoteau, a 1979 MEDEX graduate.

Study measures impact of flu on healthy children

Gabbe to head national maternal-fetal medicine committee

Steve Gabbe, professor and chair of obstetrics and gynecology, has been invited to serve as steering committee chair for the Maternal-Fetal Medicine Units Network at the National Institute of Child Health and Human Development.
