Fuller named to AAMC advisory board

Yellow arrow graphicSherrilynne Fuller, associate professor of medical education and head of the Division of Biomedical Informatics, has been appointed to the Association of American Medical Colleges' Better Health 2010 Advisory Board by AAMC President Jordan Cohen.

The group's charge will identify information infrastructure priorities for medical schools and teaching hospitals in the next decade.


Medical school competes well for industrial funding

This past year the UW School of Medicine received $42 million from industrial sources. The number of awards and number of participating companies have both risen over the past few years, according to a report by John DesRosier, director of the Office of Industry Relations for the medical school and an affiliate associate professor of microbiology. Fausto honored for training pathologists

Nelson Fausto, professor and chair of the Department of Pathology, is the first recipient of an award from the American Society for Investigative Pathology in recognition of a distinguished record in training pathologists who go on to make substantial research contributions. (Full Story)
