Medical students in the Introduction to Clinical Medicine course had the opportunity to hear about complementary and alternative medicine directly from practitioners in a panel discussion this past week.

Representatives from a variety of fields described their specialties, the kinds of patients they see, their philosophy of treatment, and their education, training and licensing requirements.

After answering questions from the students, the panelists met with small groups to demonstrate some of the techniques used in their fields.
