Multiple-site clinical trials software developed

Marc Coltrera, professor of otolaryngology/head and neck surgery, is expanding a computer program previously designed for gathering cancer studies data at multiple clinical research sites.

The software, called Otobase, was originally developed to support national multi-institutional clinical trials of head and neck cancer treatments. The University Initiatives Program will fund the modification of the system for use by departments interested in other types of clinical trials.
