Feudtner writes in JAMA about his changing views of dying

In an Oct. 4 essay in the "A Piece of My Mind" section of the Journal of the American Medical Association, Chris Feudtner, assistant professor of pediatrics, writes about how his family has changed his view of dying.

Feudtner practices in the Pediatric Care Center at UW Medical Center-Roosevelt where he specializes in the care of children with complex, chronic conditions.

Two medical school leaders elected to Institute of Medicine

Bill Catterall, professor and chair of pharmacology, and Paul Ramsey, vice president for medical affairs and dean of the School of Medicine, are among the 60 newly elected members of the Institute of Medicine. (Full story)

Histoplasmosis may be transmitted via organ transplantation
