A childhood trauma report from the Harborview Injury Prevention and Research Center won the 2000 Licht Award for Excellence in Scientific Writing at the American Congress of Rehabilitation Medicine Oct. 20.

The study,"Functional outcomes in children with multiple trauma without significant head injury," was published in the August 1999 issue of the Archives of Physical Medicine.

Steve Wilson, professor and chair of ophthalmology, is chief medical editor for a new quarterly journal, Review of Refractive Surgery, published as a supplement to the Review of Ophthalmology. The journal covers issues of interest to those performing refractive surgery and to physicians referring patients for these procedures.

Charles Murry, associate professor of pathology, is among the recent recipients of the Presidential Early Career Award for Scientists and Engineers. (Full story)
