Dan Graney and James Fine receive honors

Dan Graney, professor of biological structure, has received the first Faculty Award for Distinguished Contributions to Lifelong Learning at the UW. His peers and students nominated him for the university-wide award. Graney also was inaugurated as president of the American Association of Clinical Anatomists.

James S. Fine, associate professor and chair of laboratory medicine, has received the Gerald T. Evans Award for outstanding service or leadership from the Academy of Clinical Laboratory Physicians and Scientists.


Comparative Mouse Genomics center established

The National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences has awarded the UW and Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center (FHCRC) $5 million over the next five years to establish a Comparative Mouse Genomics Center. (Full Story)
