Panel discussions took place on training local health professionals; part-time international health work for health professionals in private practice; health services research, travel medicine; politics and advocacy; health care fo immigrant populations in the United States; development of new drugs, vaccines and diagnostics of global health significance, international health careers though the United States government and through private foundations; ethics, international law and human rights; and clinical trials and epidemiological research.
