Imaging technique reveals new structure in Retina Cells
Researchers used a new imaging technique to discover within the retina a previously unknown organelle important to the retinoid cycle, which is vital to vision. The structures, dubbed retinosomes (red), are distinct from golgi (light blue), another organelle in the retina. (Full story)

Medical school accepts thanks from Micronesian community
