UW Health Sciences Open House scheduled for April 23-24

Study examines crash fatalities from police pursuits

Of the approximately 300 people killed each year in the United States from vehicle crashes related to police pursuits, nearly one-third of those are innocent people, according to a study by researchers at the Harborview Injury Prevention and Research Center. (Full Story)

The site has links for UW Medicine patient care, research, education, and facilities. It also includes links to UW Medicine-related news items.

UW Medicine, part of the University of Washington, includes Harborview Medical Center, the University of Washington Medical Center, the University of Washington School of Medicine, UW Medicine Neighborhood Clinics, and UW Physicians.

UW Medicine shares in the ownership and governance of the Children's University Medical Group and the Seattle Cancer Care Alliance.
