Paul Anderson, a second-year student at the UW School of Medicine, has been awarded a Sarnoff Fellowship for cardiovascular research during the upcoming school year.
Through a national competition, the Sarnoff Fellowship Program gives as many as 18 cardiovascular research fellowships to students who have completed at least two years of medical school.
The fellowship will pay Anderson's expenses to spend the 2004-05 school year conducting research. Anderson and other recipients are paired with members of the Sarnoff Endowment's Scientific Board, who guide each student during their research.
