UW CME receives full accreditation
UW Continuing Medical Education (CME) has received full accreditation from the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME). UW CME received exemplary commendations on assessing and implementing CME programs to meet the needs of practicing clinicians.
The Accreditation Council identifies, develops, and promotes quality standards for continuing medical education. Physicians are required to take these courses to maintain their professional competence and to incorporate new knowledge into their practices.
CME programs are evaluated for accreditation every four years.
Tom Norris, vice dean for academic affairs, chairs the UW CME advisory committee.
