Tom Norris Elected to American Board of Medical Specialties

Tom Norris, professor of family medicine and vice dean for academic affairs, has been elected to the American Board of Medical Specialties (ABMS) board of directors.

ABMS is an umbrella organization that includes 24 medical specialty boards. It assists its member boards in developing and implementing educational and professional standards to evaluate and certify physician specialists. Norris is president of the American Board of Family Medicine, one of the ABMS boards.
