Anthony Fauci to speak April 28 at UW Health Sciences
Anthony Fauci, director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID), will discuss the challenges of emerging and re-emerging infectious diseases at a public lecture Thursday, April 28, in Hogness Auditorium, Room A-420, UW Health Sciences Center. The lecture will begin at 4 p.m. and will be followed by a reception.
At NIAID, one of the National Institutes of Health, Fauci oversees basic and applied research to prevent, diagnose, and treat infections and immune-system illnesses. He has directed the institute since 1984.
His lecture, sponsored by the School of Medicine's Office of Research and Graduate Education, is open to the UW community. Registration is not required.
