Jeffrey Kahn to Speak at May 12 Bioethics Symposium
The Second Annual Symposium on Teaching and Learning will take place on Thursday, May 12, in Hogness Auditorium in the Health Sciences Building.
Jeffrey Kahn, director of the Center for Bioethics at the University of Minnesota, will be the keynote speaker. This year's topic is Beyond Bioethics: Thinking about Ethics in Public Health. Kahn holds the Maas Family Endowed Chair in Bioethics and is a nationally known speaker, author, and advisor on medical and bioethical issues.
Kahn's talk will begin at 1 p.m. and be followed by concurrent teaching and discussion sessions from 2:15 p.m. to 4 p.m.
The School of Public Health and Community Medicine is sponsoring the symposium. Registration is required.
