Harborview Sponsors Trauma Conference in June
Harborview Medical Center will hold its 16th annual trauma conference June 1-2 at the Red Lion Hotel, 1415 Fifth Avenue, Seattle. There is a registration fee.
The two-day multidisciplinary conference highlights current issues in trauma care, from incident response to the patient's return to daily routines. Topics include pre-hospital care, emergency treatment, critical care, acute care, and rehabilitation. Nationally recognized speakers and local experts will discuss subjects pertinent to physicians, nurses, paramedics, social workers, program managers, and other health-care providers.
Conference participants will identify critical issues in the continuum of care for adult and pediatric trauma patients, learn about the psychosocial needs of trauma patients and their families, discuss new modalities and advances in trauma care, and talk about issues that impact trauma care.
Harborview, which sponsors the conference, is the designated Level 1 adult and pediatric trauma center for Washington state, as well as the regional trauma and burn referral center for Washington, Alaska, Montana, and Idaho.
