Y. Ki Shin named internist of the year
Y. Ki Shin, a clinical assistant professor of medicine who practices and teaches medical students in Montesano, Wash., has received the Washington Chapter of the American College of Physicians' Internist of the Year Award. Shin was honored for his service to the American College of Physicians, medical students, and the community.
He was recognized for his clinical skills, dedication to patients, enthusiasm for medical practice, leadership, teaching, humanity and the ability to maintain a healthy balance between his professional life and personal interests. Shin has been previously recognized as a WWAMI teaching award winner.
Shin, a physician at the Montesano Internal Medicine Clinic, did his residency at the UW School of Medicine. He has practiced in Montesano for the past eight years.
