Continuing Medical Education (CME)

The Department of Medicine and its 14 divisions hold regular continuing medical education activities and conferences, as well as special events.

Department of Medicine Grand Rounds is open to the public and is held each Thursday morning at 8 a.m. in Room T-625 Health Sciences Building on the University of Washington campus. Download the CME registration form.

To register for Category 1 CME credit, please download and complete the CME registration form. The one-time fee to register is $40 and covers all sessions for the 2012-2013 academic year. Acceptable forms of payment are: check (payable to the University of Washington) and credit or debit card. Objectives: Upon completion of this program, attendees should be able to:

• Discuss new developments and trends in medicine.
• Apply current and updated concepts to their clinical practice.
• Collate and integrate new research data in order to reach appropriate treatment decisions.

The University of Washington School of Medicine is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education to provide continuing medical education for physicians. The University of Washington School of Medicine designates this educational activity for a maximum of 40 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™ (1.0 per session).
