2013 – Washington MESA Day State Competition Results

Redmond, WA – On Saturday May 17th, over 60 MESA students from Washington competed at this year’s MESA Prosthetics Design Challenge hosted by Washington MESA and Microsoft at the Microsoft Conference center in Redmond. The top teams from middle school and high school will go on to compete at the MESA USA National competition on June 21-23 in Portland, Oregon. This year over 20,000 MESA students competed nationally to be recognized as the best of the best in the design challenge in their respective states.

This year Washington MESA will be represented by Shadle Park High School out of the Spokane MESA program and the middle school team hails from Jason Lee High School from the Southwest WA Vancouver MESA program. Each student from the winning teams also received MESA scholarships to support their enrollment in college and studies in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics based disciplines.

Overall Middle School Team Winners:

–3rd Glover M.S (Spokane)

Overall High School Team Winners:
