The MESA Program (Math, Engineering, and Science Achievement) seeks to engage a diverse group of middle school and high school students in STEM activities, which provide hands-on opportunities, project-based learning, and exposure to careers within the STEM fields.
Our MESA Day is a combination of a competition (this year the students are testing Prosthetic Arms that they built in their MESA classes) and STEM-related activities done in teams.
Our volunteers will help to judge elements of the competition (testing or oral presentations), help to lead other STEM-related activities (instructions provided in advance), or will help with logistics (check-in, guiding student teams to the correct room, etc.).
To volunteer, please register online by April 21, 2014.
Please see our flyer or share with others who may be interested.
If you would like more information, or would like us to come present to your group/team, please feel free to email me or call me at 206-616-2946.
