2014 Summer Program
GSEO is pleased to offer a summer workshop in the Yakima Valley for secondary biology teachers. Applications are currently available here.
Live outside the Yakima Valley?
Join us anyways. Stipends provided for all accepted applicants, and hotel accommodations (double occupancy) provided for out-of-towners.
Apply again-we’ll have new opportunities for you, too.
During this one-week program, we will:
- Explore how genes and environment interact to maintain internal balance in a changing environment.
- Learn how to incorporate the model-organism C. elegans into the high school classroom
- Consider how physiological, behavioral, and social factors affect glucose balance and diabetes risk
- Learn from experts about current research
