Dace Trence, Director Hadar Sharvit Duman, Fellowship Program Administrator (206) 543-5453, Fax (206) 685-3781 metab@u.washington.edu MD fellows receive clinical training in metabolism, endocrinology and nutrition to prepare them for board certification. Both MD and PhD fellows receive training in laboratory research and in the basic sciences in the laboratories of individual faculty members. Several centers and facilities are available to facilitate the research of postdoctoral fellows (see Division Research Activities). There are approximately 25 fellows in the program; about one-third are MD or MD/PhD in our accredited program and two-thirds are PhD or MD fellows focused exclusively on scientific research.
