Best Practices Workshop: Reform and Revenue

The Best Practives Workshop: Reform and Revenue is not an exercise in speculation. A scenario planning approach will be employed to display a range of outcomes based upon key drivers of change. Whatever reform model is implemented (most likely incrementally), the nature of revenue streams for providers and payers will be profoundly altered over the next decade. In addition to examining changing sources of revenue, this workshop will explore the implications of two major disruptive technologies: genomics, which will affect the very nature of clinical diagnostics/therapeutics, and the expanded role consumers will play due to proliferating information available via the internet.

Think about, discuss, consider the consequences of, and begin planning for major disruptions that could redefine your organization's future. The target audiences for this workshop include, board leaders, CEOs, COOs, CFOs, strategy/marketing executives and other top management team members of:
  • provider organizations (health systems, hospitals, medical groups)
  • health/insurance plans
  • IPAs, PPOs, HMOs

Lead instructors for the workshop are:

Rick Carlson, JD; Clinical Professor, Policy Programs, Department of Health Services, University of Washington; President, Health Strategies Group (Seattle). Formerly Vice Chairman of Age Wave, Inc. and CEO of Health Magic, Inc.
