Chinua Lambie Receives Community Volunteer Recognition Award

University of Washington MHA alumnus Chinua Lambie received one of seven Community Volunteer Recognition Awards on January 11, 2007 at the Health Sciences and UW Medical Center Tribute to Martin Luther King, Jr., "The Noble Road to Peace."

Chinua was recognized for his work in founding and developing the Seattle African American Comfort Program (SAACP). This is a non-profit organization that provides culturally appropriate compassionate care and end-of-life services for members of the African American community. In 2006, Chinua was awarded the Group Health Cooperative Diversity Fellowship. He serves on the trustee board of his church and is a member of Leadership Tomorrow, class of 2007. He received his bachelor's degree in psychology from Morehouse College in Atlanta, GA, and graduated from the UW MHA Program June 2007.
