Concurrent Degrees

For those students who wish to strengthen their clinical backgrounds or broaden their skills in policy or business while preparing for a leadership role in the health care industry, the MHA Program has three concurrent degree options. Each concurrent degree program offers:

  • A curriculum designed to integrate knowledge and skills in organizational management, policy analysis, financial and statistical analysis, quality improvement, and (for the MHA/MD) clinical medicine suitable for professional development in public, private, and non-profit clinical and other health care organizational settings.
  • A collaborative and interdisciplinary learning environment in which students with different backgrounds can contribute to the collective educational experience.

Admissions

Students must apply to, and be admitted by, both the MHA Program and the relevant MD, MBA or MPA program.

The MHA Program and the concurrent degree programs (MBA, MD, and MPA) maintain separate application and admission review processes. Applicants must submit applications to both the MHA and the concurrent degree program. In some cases, materials (transcripts, test scores) can be the same for both applications. In any case, be sure to indicate on the MHA Program Supplemental Application form the concurrent degree program to which you are applying.

If you are currently enrolled in the MBA, MD or MPA program and now wish to apply to the MHA, please contact the MHA Program Office before proceeding.

Go to Admissions for complete details of the application and admission process for the MHA Program.
