A Program that Benefits Employers
Benefits for Employers
The UW Executive MHA Program is committed to serving the Northwest's management and executive development needs, particularly through its focus on working professionals. The Program's curriculum is designed to be practical and directly relevant to practice, and allows participants to increase their on-the-job effectiveness immediately.
Several exciting changes to the Program will mean that the managerial skills they develop will make them even more immediately valuable to their employer:
- The single weekend per month “executive education format.” This format makes student schedules more predictable and easier to manage, and it allows us to emphasize adult and experiential learning methods.
- The UW Executive MHA Program faculty has worked hard to offer a highly “practice-oriented” curriculum and teaching methods emphasizing systemic perspectives and encouraging integration and application of knowledge and skills in a systemic business context. The curriculum is built around the Program's unique “Clinical Healthcare Enterprise Model,” and it makes significant use of experiential learning methods. This adult learning approach has proven to be exciting for the students and has made them immediate contributors within their work environments.
