UW MHA Program

Christopher Phan, MHA 2007
My career at Providence has skyrocketed and the preparation and rigor of the University of Washington MHA Program have put me in a place to advance quickly. I am a project manager for the entire northwest region and I work on all aspects of finance to be implemented in over 11 hospitals. People at work have noted the power of the MHA degree, and I am regularly invited to travel with CFOs for alignment meetings. I am so thankful for what everyone in the UW MHA Program has done for me. I made the right choice entering this outstanding program.

MHA Program Overview

Over the past two decades, the health care industry has developed from one dominated by inpatient facilities serving individuals to a complex system of organizations serving defined populations. Because today's health care environment is both dynamic and unpredictable, the industry needs creative leaders with the skills to use health resources fairly and equitably.

The Master of Health Administration Program recognizes the dynamic nature of the health management field as well as the changing nature of societal expectations for health care. The faculty is committed to creating and maintaining an innovative and flexible curriculum to educate managers and leaders who can envision possibilities and execute change within dynamic organizational, financial, and public policy environments.
