• Betsy Skovran (Research Associate) won a best poster award at the 2008 Lake Arrowhead Microbial Genetics conference.  Her poster was entitled, New Insights into Methylotrophic Metabolism and Regulation in Methylobacterium extorquens AM1.

• Professor Mary Lidstrom has been awarded the 2006 ASM Graduate
  Microbiology Teaching Award, which recognizes her distinguished teaching of microbiology and mentoring of students at the graduate and post-graduate level.
• Professor Mary Lidstrom was recently elected as an American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS) Fellow. Election as a Fellow of AAAS is an honor bestowed upon members by their peers. Fellows are recognized for meritorious efforts to advance science or its applications.
