MMIG

Mitochondria and Metabolism Interest Group

The Mitochondria and Metabolism Interest Group (MMIG) is composed of researchers from  the University of Washington and affiliated institutions who have  active research in the areas of metabolism and mitochondria. Each month, current research findings from MMIG members are presented and discussed in a seminar format.

MMIG Presentations Schedule:

Meeting Time: 3-4 PM on the first Friday of the month (Outside Speakers – Variable)

Location: UW Medicine at South Lake Union, Administrative Building, Conference Rooms C-123AB*

Directory of MMIG Members by Research Area:

Mitochondrial Bioenergetics and Reactive Oxygen Species

Research on the regulation of mitochondrial function and ROS metabolism, and the role of mitochondria in biology and pathogenesis of human diseases.

Mitochondrial Function in Model Organisms

The well-defined genetics of model organisms, such as C elegans, enable the elucidation of the biology of  mitochondria and the identification of key regulators of mitochondrial function.

Cell Metabolism and Signaling

Research on the regulation of cell metabolism and signaling mechanisms.
