Naomi Sokoloff
Professor, NELC and Comparative Literature

Naomi Sokoloff joined the faculty of UW in 1985.  She directs the modern Hebrew language program in NELC and offers courses on modern Jewish literature and Israeli culture through NELC, Comparative Literature, Jewish Studies, English, and the Honors Program.

Aliza Sandalon
Herbert I. Rosen Lecturer in Modern Hebrew

Aliza Sandalon is a native speaker of Hebrew. She studied Education at Tel Aviv University and Psychology at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. Aliza has taught Hebrew at the State Unviersity of New York, Stony Brook and has been teaching Hebrew at UW since 2003.  She also teaches Hebrew at the Jewish Day School of Metropolitan Seattle.
