The Monnat Lab is located in the Departments of Pathology and Genome Sciences at the University of Washington School of Medicine in Seattle. Our research focuses on human RecQ helicase deficiency syndromes such as Werner syndrome, high resolution analyses of DNA replication dynamics, and the engineering of homing endonucleases for targeted gene modification in human cells.
