Riding the Bus

For timetable information, visit Metro's trip planner and use "University of Washington HUB" as your destination (the Husky Union Building is close to Loew Hall). Riding Your Bike

The Burke-Gilman Trail runs right through UW on the east and south sides of campus, providing several access points to the campus.

From the Eastside via SR-520 & Evergreen Floating Bridge

  1. Take 520 west, across the Lake Washington floating bridge, toward Seattle.
  2. On the Seattle side, take the second exit, "Montlake" and exit heading North. Proceed across the Montlake Bridge, merging into the left lane.
  3. At the first traffic light after the Montlake Bridge, turn left onto NE Pacific Street.
  4. Turn right on 15th Avenue NE.
  5. Turn right onto campus at NE 40th Street.
  6. Stop at the gatehouse to arrange parking, requesting lot C-12 (directly behind Roberts).
  7. If the gatehouse okays lot C-12, proceed from the gatehouse and take the first right onto Stevens Way. If not, see parking note.
  8. Follow Stevens Way until you cross Rainier Vista.
  9. Turn right on Mason Road. At this point you see Roberts Hall on your left.
  10. Turn left into the lot behind Roberts, or turn right into the lower C-12 parking area behind Wilson Annex.

From the East via Laurelhurst/University Village

  1. Traveling South on 25th Avenue NE or East from NE 45th, enter campus at the 25th Avenue NE entrance (across from University Village).
  2. Follow the road up the hill to the gatehouse where you can arrange parking, requesting lot C-12 (directly behind Roberts).
  3. If the gatehouse okays lot C-12, proceed from the gatehouse and take the first immediate left onto Mason Road. If not, see parking note.
  4. Follow Mason all the way South until it makes a right turn.
  5. At this point you may proceed straight into the lower C-12 parking area behind Wilson Annex or turn right on Mason for 1/2 a block and turn right in the upper C-12 area directly behind Roberts Hall.

From the South via 23rd/24th Avenue E and Montlake District

  1. Proceed North through the Montlake/520 interchange and across the Montlake Bridge, merging into the left lane.
  2. At the first traffic light after the Montlake Bridge, turn left onto NE Pacific Street.
  3. Turn right on 15th Avenue NE.
  4. Turn right onto campus at NE 40th Street.
  5. Stop at the gatehouse to arrange parking, requesting lot C-12 (directly behind Roberts).
  6. If the gatehouse okays C-12, proceed from the gatehouse and take the first right onto Stevens Way. If not, see parking note.
  7. Follow Stevens Way until you cross Rainier Vista, then turn right on Mason Road.
  8. At this point you see Roberts Hall on your left.
  9. Turn left into the lot behind Roberts, or turn right into the lower C-12 parking area behind Wilson Annex.

From Interstate 5 (North or South)

  1. From either direction, take the NE 45th Street exit, then travel east on NE 45th Street for several blocks.
  2. Turn right onto Memorial Way at 17th Avenue NE.
  3. Stop at the gatehouse to arrange parking, requesting lot C-12 (directly behind Roberts).
  4. If the gatehouse okays lot C-12, proceed from the gatehouse and take the first left onto Stevens Way. If not, see parking note.
  5. Follow Stevens Way until you reach Mason Road (just before the Rainier Vista).
  6. Turn left on Mason and you will see Roberts Hall on your left.
  7. Turn left into the C-12 lot behind Roberts, or take the next right into the lower C-12 parking area behind Wilson Annex.

Parking Note

You may be directed to park in a lot other than C-12 at the discretion of the gatehouse staff. If so, request a map and directions from the gatehouse attendant.
