Professional Achievements
Al/SiC carrier plates for microwave integrated circuits used in satellites have been fabricated, using our pending patent (2359/Mas/97, India patent office, Chennai, India), and the prototypes have been successfully tested at the space applications centre of the Indian Space Research Organisation, Ahmedabad, India.
Filed a PATENT for "A method of making Aluminium matrix composites by pressureless infiltration of liquid-metal", Application No. 2359/Mas/1997, India Patent Office, Chennai, India.
Filed a PATENT for "A method of making Al-rich and AlN-rich matrix composites by pressureless infiltration of molten Al-alloys using an external getter", Application No.: 365/MAS/2000, India patent office, Chennai, India.
An apparatus for chemical analysis of Aluminium Nitride was developed as a part of Ph.D. programme.
