{"id":5465,"date":"2015-03-27T09:28:09","date_gmt":"2015-03-27T16:28:09","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/depts.washington.edu\/mswnews\/?p=5465"},"modified":"2015-03-27T09:30:30","modified_gmt":"2015-03-27T16:30:30","slug":"need-ssw-contact-for-seattle-pride-parade","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/depts.washington.edu\/mswnews\/2015\/03\/need-ssw-contact-for-seattle-pride-parade\/","title":{"rendered":"Need SSW Contact for Seattle Pride Parade"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Registration Deadline:<\/strong> Thursday, April 30<br \/>\n<strong>Parade Event:<\/strong> Sunday, June 28<\/p>\n<p>Thanks to those that have marched in the past representing the University of Washington for the Seattle Pride Parade each June.\u00a0 Unfortunately, there is no one who has registered on behalf of UW march on Sunday, 6\/28\/2015.\u00a0 UW Medicine will have a contingent, but it\u2019s only for UW Medicine\/School of Medicine constituents.\u00a0 If someone outside of UW Medicine is willing to step up and register<!--more--> and act as a key contact leading up to and on the day of the Parade, then UW can continue marching in the parade.<\/p>\n<p>Pam Racansky, who led UW\u2019s parade contingent last year is no longer working for UW, and her position in School of Medicine\u2019s Center for Diversity and Inclusion had been eliminated.\u00a0 While I have been in discussion with key stakeholders for UW Medicine\u2019s Pride contingent, no one has volunteered to be that key contact to represent UW campus wide beyond UW Medicine.<\/p>\n<p>Below is the link for registration information.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/staging.seattlepride.org\/wp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/02\/2015-Seattle-Pride-Parade-Rules.pdf\">http:\/\/staging.seattlepride.org\/wp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/02\/2015-Seattle-Pride-Parade-Rules.pdf<\/a><\/p>\n<p>To be the UW key contact would mean:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Filling out the online registration form, guided by me with payment information.\u00a0 We have funding available from Minority Affairs &amp;
