The final deadline for the American Voices Project fellowship is February 7<\/strong>, and I’m writing today in hopes that you\u2019ll circulate this opportunity once more before the final deadline.<\/p>\n

This program is built around a new project, led by top scholars from Stanford University and Princeton University, that will uncover how the American Dream is faring and how inclusive and opportunity-enhancing policy might be designed. We\u2019re now recruiting a select group of research fellows to become part of this study. The fellows will receive intensive training and then visit communities across America to talk with families about their lives, hopes, and dreams. It\u2019s not a survey, it\u2019s not a poll, but an honest and open conversation that we\u2019re holding in all 50 states.<\/p>\n

The fellows will then learn how to analyze the interviews with the latest data science methods, identify the country\u2019s emerging problems, and begin the task of building 21st-century policy that responds to the voices of the people. It will be a life-changing experience that prepares the next generation of leaders in academia, government, politics, nonprofits, and beyond.<\/p>\n
