Undergraduate Research Assistant
Max was born in the California Bay Area and joined the research group in the summer after his sophomore year at UW in the Civil and Environmental Engineering program. Max spent that summer hiking through the beautiful Olympic mountain range, setting up snow depth poles for the research group’s OLYMPEX campaign. He is most interested in climate change’s impact on snow and the mountains overall and how this affects water resources in those areas. Max is currently studying forest-snow interactions.
When Max isn’t working for the research group you can find him participating in his other interests: Soccer, football, running, hiking, snowboarding, learning to cook, playing FIFA, playing other team sports, or doing anything else outside.
